This video features Jeff Lebo, University of Tennessee-Chattanooga Head Coach. Coach Lebo builds his defense from the inside-out, beginning with strong post defense. In a lecture-style setting, Lebo begins by introducing keys for tough post-defense. He discusses methods for defending against post-to-post screens, guard-to-post screens, back-screens, and pick-and-rolls. At the perimeter, Lebo teaches proper positioning as well as flat hedging, aggressive hedging, and with/no switch situations. Beginning with post defense and working out, Lebo shows the relationship between post and perimeter players in a unique and effective style. This defensive system is effective for teams that possess a strong insidepresence and for teams without a dominant post player. Coach Lebo also discusses the fundamentals of the Double Down defensive system. He shares how the Double Down is effective, how to incorporate it into your program, and the different concepts that he has successfully used.
