Superpark jumps don't resemble anythinga mortal skier will find at his home resort. These features often stretch 100 feet long, shoot riders halfway to the moon, and demand absolute precision. For the construction of the fourth annual Superpark, Powder enlisted seven of the sport's best athletes to assist Mammoth Mountain's Unbound Terrain Park crew in designing signature features. When the 60 invited pros arrived on site, there were mixed reactions. Some found the hits too big, while other felt they'd discovered a fantasy land - a terrain park with the size and diversity that would finally allow them to showcase their true talents. Following a two-day spring storm that buried the park in two feet of snow, the skiers took to the air. The park proved both a blessing and a curse.
