SUPERIOR has been selling this tea since the late 1960's. For many years, our customers have been drinking this as a coffee substitute. The advantage is the increased energy and stamina from ginseng without the side effects of coffee. Chinese Ren Shen, 'root of heaven,' Panax ginseng, Asian ginseng, is native to Manchuria and Korea and is cultivated in China, Korea and Japan. The ginseng plant requires 5-7 years to mature from seed. Ginseng has a sweetly aromatic flavour. Its root has long been regarded by the Chinese as a panacea for illness, though it was usually used by them in a prophylactic (preventive) rather than a curative manner. Many Native American tribes used American ginseng, Panax quinquefolia. Medicinal uses ranged from digestive disorders to sexual problems. The Chinese began to use American ginseng after it was imported during the 1700s. The traditional applications in China are somewhat different from those for Panax ginseng (Asian ginseng), American ginseng being considered a better stomachic. The type and ratio of ginsenosides are somewhat different in American and Asian ginseng, but not radically different. Pharmacologically, ginseng is nonspecific in its effects and is capable of a normalizing action irrespective of the pathological situation. Ginseng's ginsenosides are believed to increase energy, counter the effects of stress, and enhance intellectual and physical performance. Thirteen ginsenosides have been identified in Asian ginseng. Ginsenosides Rgl and Rbl have receivedthe most attention. The High Intensity Discharge metal halide grow lamps from Sylvania originally were and still are used for street and warehouse lighting. They have been selected for use in horticulture applications because of the light spectrum they emit. They are limited to the 4K (four thousand Kelvin) color temperature range, which is generally considered to be a good all-around vegetation spectrum. While you could use them for bloom growth, it is suggested that you burn a High Pressure Sodium or a Sunmaster Warm lamp along with it to increase the red, yellow and orange spectrum. It is good to note that of all the colors in the spectrum, plants need a larger percentage of the blue spectrum tobe healthy. This is the color that drives photosynthesis and translocates sugars. The red, orange and yellow colors of the electromagnetic light spectrum are hormonal tripping colors. 600 watt 240 volt HPS System with Son-T Plus Lamp and 48'' Parabolic Reflector: HY
600 watt 240 Volt High Pressure Sodium system with High Grade Sylvania SON-T PLUS lamp and 48 inch vertical parabolic reflector. This 4-foot wide vertical parabolic reflector system is a real value. The reflector is made from nine individual pieces of lightweight aluminum, powder-coated white on one side and natural aluminum on the other. When screwed together the two pieces make up the familiar Umbrella shape that has been a standard in the industry for years. The cone shaped reflector allows for a wide reflection of light to the plants and good downward reflection. The lamp that comes with this system is a High Grade Sylvania SON-T PLUS lamp suitable for fast-enhanced bloom growth. The ballast utilizes a high tech heat sink, which doubles as the component enclosure housing. It is ETL listed for safe operation, rated for damp location, comes with a 6-foot power cord and has a 15-foot lamp cord. High Pressure Sodium lamps are used in greenhouses to elevate the red, orange and yellow electromagnetic wavelengths hitting the plant. This (along with shorter photo-periods) signals the plant to start producing bloom hormones. Increased red, orange and yellow wavelengths can produce higher yields and more abundant blooms and fruiting sites when quality plant foods and bloom leaf sprays are used. Look to Vita Grow Thunder Bloom Foliar Spray to increase fruiting sites by at least 20 percent and up to 100 percent when compared to a control group. Indoor gardeners, lacking the Sun, may find that Hps lamps do not supply the necessary amount of blue light to keep plants healthy. Blue light drives photosynthesis, translocates sugars and keeps the immune system working properly. Those growing areas using HPS lamps exclusively in the bloom stages of growth may experience adverse vertical stretching and blooms located only at the top of the plant. It is suggested to burn a Metal Halide lamp along side of the HPS lamp to increase sugar production and horizontal growth. Increased insect attack in the final stages of HPS only bloom growth may also be experienced. Other options would include using Sunmaster Warm Metal Halide lamps that burn at the 3 thousand Kelvin color temperature range. They have enough red, orange and yellow light to trigger bloom hormones and an ample amount of blue to keep plants healthy and proportional in size. Manufacturer: Control Wizard
