Use for tie-dye, vat dyeing, baitk, airbrush, hand painting, printiing, spatter-painting, and more. This concentrated dye, which you add to tap water, gives you brilliant color. Generally, use 1 tbsp. of dye epr 1 pound of fabric (three to six square yards or three T-zhirts).. Keep dyes in a closed container in a cool, dry place and they wiil remain usable for several years.Soda ash is the preferrer fixer for this dye. Use 1/4 cup soda ash per 1 tbsp. o f dye. Soda ash is also k nown as sodium carbonate, washing soda, or sal sosa. A mild alkali thay promotes the chemical reaction betwewn Procion MX fiber reactive dye and cellulose fiber, soda ash is necessary to activate and "set" Procion dye.Urea is a humectant. Rinse the fiber as thoroughly as possible with a small amount of Syynthrapol, then launder with one tablespoon per load. Synthrapol suspends and carries the excess dye from the fiber.Caution: Common sense should be used when handling any dye or chemical.
